George Nelson’s CSS (Comprehensive Storage System) is a modular shelving unit he designed for Herman Miller in 1959. Developed as an evolution of his built-in Storage Wall concept, the CSS brought that architectural idea into homes and offices as a freestanding, adaptable system. Published by Herman Miller and distributed in Europe by Mobilier International. The spefic unit was originally owned by the daughter of the founder of Mobilier International and was purchased from her directly. The bookshelf comes with a display cabinet, two display shelves and four filing cabinets and 10 shelves.
