The Myran chair (also known as The Ant Chair) was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1952 for Fritz Hansen and is a Danish design icon of mid-century modernism. It features a molded plywood seat with a distinctive narrow “waist” and slender metal legs, combining organic form with industrial simplicity. Originally created for the canteen of Novo Nordisk, it became one of Jacobsen’s most celebrated designs. The chair remains highly collectible and is still produced today in various finishes and materials.
