    Product Description:+
The Apila stool (named after the Finnish word for clover) is a small wooden stool designed in Finland in the 1950s–60s. It is now attributed to Rauni Peippo, who worked with Stockmann and its manufacturing arm Stockmann-Orno. The stool is defined by its four-lobed, clover-shaped seat, which softens its geometric form and gives it a playful, sculptural character. Typically made from solid pine or birch, it features simple cylindrical legs and was designed to be lightweight, durable, and easy to mass-produce. Although long misattributed to Lisa Johansson-Pape, it is now considered a classic example of Finnish mid-century functional design with a subtle organic twist.
