Rare pair of Fauteuil Shanghai armchairs, designed and produced by Soca Selliers, France, 1986. The chairs feature sculptural chrome-plated tubular steel frames with elegantly curved legs and armrests, combined with hand-woven natural rattan seats and backs. The combination of the polished chrome structure and warm woven surface gives the chairs a distinctive French 1980s postmodern character, with an almost architectural quality.
