Name: Linnéa Salmén Occupation: Interior stylist
What is your relationship with furniture and objects? An almost unhealthy attraction—my first, greatest, and most enduring passion.
How would you define an icon? Someone or something that is groundbreaking in its genre and leaves a historical mark. There are countless icons—two of my not-so-unique favorites in design are Alvar Aalto and Vico Magistretti.
Giant wooden ear found on marketplace.
White fabric in the back, red on red cabinet in the front.
What would you take with you from home if a fire broke out? My large wooden ear, or the clenched fist my father carved in his youth.
What are you always hunting for or find hard to stop buying? Miniatures or oversized objects. Right now, though, I’m entirely drawn to textile craft - from patchwork quilts to grand tapestries.
Linnea is currently working on a major campaign for a Swedish interior brand and is also selling a wooden room divider by Sebastian Lönnqvist for Martela on Used Icons.
